we stood there together
the begining
knowing that when one made a decision
the other would follow
of that there was really no question
only the direction
and that made the choosing
less of a sentence

This is quite lovely. It speaks to the scary ambiguity of committing to someone or something else. You have to take the good and the bad, but ultimately it is your choice as to whether or not you see the whole experience as a trap. Very "John Donne-ian". - G
