under water

under water
you look the same as you do in bed
your hair fanned out
like it is over the multiple pillows you insist are necessary
your eyes half closed in a bliss all your own
a lazy smile on your face
your arms and legs undulating like a mythical sea creature of temptation
your slow-motion blinks of perfection
the crook of your arm
home to the children you've birthed
under water
you move with an unparalleled grace to an unheard symphony

under water
i can't breathe

You have some nice poetry here. I like this one; very well done, with lots of good images. Thanks for visiting me at Blue Country Magic yesterday.

I like your descriptive language. It creates a vivid and specific image, summons a connection to something beyond or under the water. Well-written.

Mermaids.

Such vivid descriptions. They do a great job at presenting the idea of living separate from someone one knows so well...

So beautiful... and sad.

Your poems are wonderful and descriptive, your words are imaginative and create beautiful images.
This poem is especially lovely, yet a little sad as you give the impression that you feel disconnected from this beautiful person.
