its raining men!

ok
well
its not
i wouldnt want that anyway
and "raining women" wouldnt have worked well in the song.
its raining ice round these here parts. i freeze my patootie off every time i walk outside. i know. i shouldnt be walking outside.
i actually went outside barefoot last night to my car to get some files i left there cause they had some sensitive info. didnt feel like putting on shoes. decided to man up! it was a dreadful mistake. i couldnt feel my feet for 10 minutes.
next time i'm gonna park by the damned fire hydrant.
so its cold and wet and yucky out. is this what england feels like? i should ask my dad. he was borned and raised there.
which reminds me! another GREAT song. ok. just my opinion folks. yes. it is from 'brother where art thou'. but the song is awesome and i can listen to it many times in a row without getting bored. and no. clooney doesnt actually sing it in the movie.
there are a few other good versions (that one is clearer and cleaner, with very good guitar work) as well.
i like the first one cause it's got the flavor and the various instruments (two distinct guitars, bass, banjo, fiddle) YEAH! and i LOVE LOVE LOVE the crowd.
i gotta get to a concert like this one day before i pack my bags for the last time.
speaking of which, i especially like the line "there is one promise that is given, i'll meet you on god's golden shore".
i might riff off that sometime...

With the title "It's raining men", I didn't expect to be watching an Akus video. Good post. Thanks for the song. It's one of my favorites from one of my favorite movies.

So you always go outside with your patootie exposed??? If you perhaps cover up your patootie you wouldn't freeze it off!!!

I'm just saying!!!

IB - its a good one. and the crowds kicks. love all the hollerin' and YEAH!s in the middle. got to get me to one of those...

michlle - mah belle. my patootie was covered up well. my tootsies were exposed. i have yet to go anywhere with my patootie exposed. aside from my apartment that is...
some would say i live a rather dull life...

Hey Justy...I love that song too! Its a darn good thing your feet weren't wet when you went out, or you might've frozen to the sidewalk, stuck there at the mercy of your neighbors (who obviously avoid you because of the patootie flashing incidents...sure..we'd LIKE to believe you're innocent, but if you admit to going outside with nakey toes...well you know what I'm saying.) :)

I manned up this morning with shorts a tank top and flip flops into the snow to dig out my paper which was buried but I saw a hint of the red bag its delivered in. I rushed toward it because i was freezing and promptly wound up on my ass, jumped up with the "anybody see that look" and ran inside. Manning up...Pfft.

Funny to read "man up" five sentences after the word "patootie".

I think if it actually rained men, it would be a horrific mess that no one would want to see. Just a thought.

Cats and dogs I can cope with. Raining men? I'll stay inside.

That it doesn't rain men is the reason I know there's no God.

In the past 4 years, I've spent about 6 months total in England, in summer, fall, and winter... believe it or not, I dealt with a total of 5 days of rain. It does rain, of course... I just got extraordinarily lucky.

sweet cheeks - i am thankful for small favors. and just so you know, patootie flashing is a high crime around here. nekkid toes doth not equal nekkid bootie. SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE! here i go again. gotta get hold of myself.

CPM - i have been accused of both. the jury is still out on which. it may actually end up being both though...

KONYH - it's overrated. but every once in a while i gotta make sure i still have a pair. y'know...

diane - i'm all over the place. as you can plainly see.

goodfather - its nothing i care to really consider. its all so horrifying...

lee - i'm right there with you. we'll stand at the picture window with a glass of merlot.

diane - it wouldnt be pretty. and they wouldnt be any good by the time they hit the pavement.

That is such a good song. Wait, I mean 'Constant Sorrow.' Wife chose it for my theme song, and she should know.

PS. I love seeing "the Dude" when he shows up.
