one degree of separation

i would ask you why
you did it
but I cant
I couldn't even ask you
why you would
because I had no idea
you would
nor, it seems
did anyone else
now
there are only questions
a gaping hole
recently filled
with nothing at all

Hope the hole grows smaller. They usually do.

This describes how I feel about someone in my life just perfectly.

knowing why
will fill your head
but it
won't fill the hole

you're starving
put down the baggage
eat, pray....leave

And there never will be an answer.

Why is no longer a question I feel I have the right to ask. Just - this is how it is. Now what? It's all I can do.

i can't help it. i'm nosey. when i read poetry like this i want to know the whole story. all of the unsaid things. maybe that's what makes it so good.

I really love this. It describes so many things without overcomplicating them.

That was pretty powerful, well done.

I hope things get better. It comes across that you feel betrayed...there's not much worse than that out there, my friend.

be easy, stay cool,
let go,
simply letting go will help you.
nothing matters more than your own beautiful mood, creative mind, and the energy to offer love and encouragement to others.
Cheers!

So intriguing...this is my first time here, so I don't know the backstory.

But I too find the last three lines the most telling...glad the hole was filled.

I hit your link at Vencora's blog. She has seen fit to give us both an award. I'm here to check you out. I really like your poetry. What really shocked me is the photo of the "the dude" displayed on your side bar. Believe it or not, I also have one on my sidebar.

If you don't mind, I'm going to tag along. Thanks

the hole takes time to fill up again.

Sometimes, given the proper length of time (and Lord knows it varies), we come to know...
