oh the weather outside is...

downright weird.
been snowing, raining, then warming up to low-mid 50s (Fahrenheit for all those keeping score in the northern regions)

but i digress.
i dont think i've eaten a single nutritious thing in the past week and a half.
and now i'm happily munching on rice crispy candy. which, by the way. is what they serve in heaven in the waiting room. y'know, the kind with peanut butter and chocolate.

and i even went to work today to make some phone calls (read - leave voicemails) to people that were just about as interested in hearing from me as i was in speaking to them.
so all's well that ended well. no blood, no foul.

and, theres a party tonight that promises to have all kinds of nonsense going on. the good kind.
i have to go make something to eat.
i think i'll make a trifle. that nasty concoction of nuts, cake, whipped cream, chocolate of all kinds, mousse, etc.
i have no idea who thought of putting cake in all that goodness, but they were wrong. dead wrong. and i'm sorry for them and their families. i dont believe in cake. but i do believe this is a good song.
i like queensryche.
i like 80s music.
there.
i've said it.
and i'm not ashamed.

Justy boy...nobody eats anything nutritious at Christmas!
It has been snowing here for hours. (Good thing we are staying in today.) Been playing with Christmas toys...lazy blogging, you know...no stress. Never heard of that trifle thing...sounds tasty!. Nothing wrong with 80's music. Hugs to you! :)

I made a Lemon Angel Pie. It's a meringue shell filled with a sinful lemon whipped cream. Please! Between that and the egg nog I figure I will have to do some serious cardio until February.

God, I used to love Queensryche. Haven't heard them in years.

Hope your party was full of nonsense and non-nutrition!

"Take Hold of the Flame" by that group is one of the epic anthems of all time, so I definitely agree with you.

Much of contemporary music lacks heart, lacks passion. Don't apologize for loving the 80s: that decade at least gave us hair bands and power ballads!

The best to you and this blog. It looks great!

I wonder if you CAN burn calories sleeping on the treadmill? Oh yes...I love my Serta Treadmill, it has pillow top treads. The incline mode is great for snorers......Hmmmm.
You make me laugh Justy Boy! :)

I don't think I've had much of anything but junk either. I think I'll be forced to go to the salad bar and get me a nice healthy salad tomorrow. (hah, I believe I blogged about what my healthy salad looks like)

I don't do sweets at all though, no candy, no cookies, no cakes, no ice cream, no chocolate. I just don't care for the stuff. More for everyone else I suppose.

YOU?! I've been eating nothing but chocolate, chocolate, beer, chocolate and chocolate beer for a week now.

OK, I made that bit about the chocolate beer up. That would be a terrible thing to do to beer.

Queensryche, huh? Silent Lucidity!!! Big music freak, me.

Merry Christmas from the Queen of the Ryche,

Since I had to stop drinking, I started eating. I'm still in my skinny jeans, but it ain't looking good due to the fact that all these b*tches in my neighborhood bake and then march their skinny little butts over to my house with their cookies and crap.

That rice crispy thing you're eating? It sounds good. I'd probably fight you for it.

Rice krispy treats. Yumm. My decadent indulgence is chocolate frosting on graham crackers. Unfortunately they give me BAT (back fat).

lee - there isn't any and there wasn't any

JCN - of course. i wasnt aware of any other reason...

michelle - i hope it was good. 80's music does rock.

diane - time to crack open an album and crank up the volume

SMDM - absolutely. they really get forgotten too often. and thank you for your kind words

heinous - another good song. it does surprise me though. i didnt know they had more than 5 fans. ok. that was a joke.

cinn - today is 1/1/09 and i'm still in the midst of this binge.

dental maven - welcome abawd. great stuff. i wont be embarrassed ever again.

CK - it IS against the rules. and i'm all about following the rules...

sweetcheeks - i dont have a treadmill. i have the great outdoors. treadmills are either too expensive or too s----y. and i dont really like either option.

sweetpea - i did read about your salad. i was actually going to drive over and ask if you'd share some. but i dont know you that well... and no chocolate, as in NONE? that does make me rather suspicious...

pearl - there was a company that made a beer that had some chocolate undertones in it. was called double black and made by a company called red hook. my favorite beer ever, and alas, they dont make it anymore. i think i should start a world-wide petition...

candace - you'd have to pry it from my cold...

geri - i'll sign the petition if you send it over.

sweetcheeks - i'm sorry. i really am. and i hope it wont happen again. really.

lawyer mom - i dont have a three way mirror :)

diane - *huffing & puffing* i'll be right *huff* there...
