is it just me,

or does it seem like the word verifications required for entering a comment these days are approaching war-and-peace length ?

the dangerous thing about giving out one's cell phone number to clients is that they may use it.
with alarming frequency.
unlimited talk for me doesn't mean that i want to be talked to unlimitedly. i should tell them...

I noticed the word verifications were longer! What's up with that?

I haven't used word verification on my blog for a while now. As a result, I get the occasional spam assault in my comments, but it's not enough for me to turn it back on.

And the cell phone thing? it's cool that we can reach just about anyone, anytime. But the downside is that we can be reached anywhere/anytime too.

That reminds me, I need to turn mine off.

The word veri, not the cell phone.

You may want to, though. :)

Or start answering the phone in a different language.
I recommend Wookie.

Wait. I've been here before. Adding a comment. But it's not showing up. Have I been blocked? Gulp!!

You know, you can disable word verification. I don't us it because it's so obnoxious. In the rare event of a spammer you can re-enable it temporarily.

And I don't hand out my cell phone to clients. I definitely don't want to be that available!

i don't mind the wordify. sometimes it is amusing. the older i get (like i'm ancient at 41 or something) the more i think that cell phones are really a curse. we did fine before them. really, there is no reason a person needs to be reached 24/7.

I used to have WV on. I feel lucky I haven't been hassled so much by spammers to need to reactivate it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope it was more entertaining than this comment (gulp)

I couldn't agree with you more.
Sometimes there just needs to be an "off" switch.
