a title ? you want a title ?!

i'm not so good with the whole title thing...

please tell me
when you are done
when you've had enough
of me
of this perpetual mangling
of my core
i dont want to think any more
about finally being over
only to be thrust again
into this hell
i will sit quietly
.
my last request
is only that you tell me
when enough
for you
is truly enough

Mangled cores create the best writing. Titles are only a tease to read on.

NTR - i will collect, you know. here goes (you are witnessing history in the making, i hope you appreciat how momentous this is)...

1. to be more at peace with who i am right now. and worry less about who i ought to be.
2. to do the things i know are right, despite not being inclined to do so for millions of not-so-good reasons.
3. to do good things for myself.

monkey man - thank you. i've tried. it takes too much and it doesnt seem natural for me. i'll have to find a "titler".

What wonderful resolutions. May I borrow them for my own? If you say no, I will end up stealing them and then I will have already broken #2.

you may use them with pleasure. just take care to leave me a copy so i dont forget what resolved.
otherwise it will be another year of debauchery,in all it's splendid forms. and who wants that...

nicely done...angst with sexual undertones...or maybe thats just me...

as far as titles go, pick something obscure...i am thinking "spumoni"

Who could ever have enough of this? BTW, I love mangled core. It makes me feel grounded.

And your resolutions are good ones. My grandmother used to say that it was easier to be bad. Doing the right thing is often more effort.

Oooo. Very brave. Like it!

You should just toss out a non sequitur for the title. BTW, my word verification was almost Conan (Conam - must be his cousin).

Mangled or not... still beautiful... xo

I like this one. Very much. And I want to know how you found me. This year is all about #3 for me. I'm pretty good at one and two anymore.

brian - you know, i dont know. but spumoni sounds right on. i wonder why i didnt think of that....

beth - thank you. granma was right. i can tell you from experience.

dental maven - thank you.

grant - perhaps. is that the barbarian ?

diane - thank you.

kate - thank you. very much. and good for you. i need work on all three. and on other things, but i dont want the post to drag on for 17 pages. and i dont recall how i found you. is that bad ?

Man, I just went through that. Not the mangled core side. The telling "when is enough truly enough" side. Both are brutal.

P.S. Your resolutions to do things that you know are right really speaks to me. I try to use that personal mantra to help me make decisions. I always ask, What's the RIGHT thing to do? Even if it's the harder thing, I will still choose doing the RIGHT thing. Cuz I have to live with myself.

some people never get enough of mangling someone.

don't you get a say in the matter?

i'm feeling this way lately. love it in a bitter sweet kind of way. i'm with brian...i love abstract titles. i think i would name this one "my reflection". silly, huh? that's just how i is.

i'm following you now. i. need. more. poetry. in. my. life. (in more ways than one.)

fragrat one - yes it is. and yes you do. hard stuff.

goddess - sometimes y'do. and sometimes y'dont.

noelle - thank you. and thanks for the suggestion.
