staring at the keyboard wont get me a title. ok. i'm leaving this space blank.

and though i both tire and despair
i am back where i began
with less determination
less hope
sleep will elude me
as it does
but hopefully for only a short while longer
and so i dedicate this time to you
to us
to freedom from the future
and at this juncture
where there is nothing left but tomorrow
i join with you
in quiet celebration
of yesterday

But you didn't leave it blank. I am incapable of having no title. It pains me.

As for the poem, sleep eludes me far too often.

I hope you sleep tonight. I hope we both do. Sweet dreams, love.

alll our yesterdays led to tomorrow...celebrate away. and who needs sleep anyway?

I crave a good nights sleep. It always eludes me. Maybe one day... because as you say, there is nothing left but tomorrow.

Love this!

I tire and despair too. Good GOD, I need to get some sleep tonight! Since I returned to work, after a two-week break, I can't enforce my own go-to-bed rule. I'm like a 12-y-o kid, afraid to miss out on anything, only NOTHING is going on worth staying up for.

I celebrate the yesterday when I could sleep, and aspire to the blissful freedom of sleep tomorrow. Probably not what you meant, but that's how your words spoke to me.

Be be better soon? Hope so. I, too, am like rust: I never sleep.

P.S. How curious! The word verification is "alike"!

Not sleeping is the pits. Hope you are better now.

There's a lot of pressure behind a good title. Unless you just come up with one of those perfect ones.

A poet...awesome. I am too. Someday I will post some of them too.

This is a great bit of writing; one of your best. Maybe not sleeping is good for your poetry(?).

When I can't sleep, I contemplate all the things I would love to do if only I had the monetary freedom and then I fall asleep. Works for me.

Sleep is overrated!

j cosmo - some days are better than others. thank you.

mon capitan - you dont seem to have that problem...

debralee - thank you. no time like the present.

ib - thank you. high praise indeed. but i would rather the sleep. i'd shut the rest of it off in exchange for feeling normal.

goddess - all sorts of things going through my head. mostly nonsense. i just wanna sleep.

eternally distracted - only for those that get enough of it.
